Franz Buhr, a researcher at the Center for Geographical Studies at the University of Lisbon, invited us to collaborate in the project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 program, SMARTDEST, which is part of a consortium of 12 institutions from 8 European countries.

We were talking about the change in the commercial landscape and urban transformation in the parish of Misericórdia, focusing on the Triângulo neighborhood. Which is one of the areas that is being studied by the research, and where Apaixonarte occupies a privileged place in this context. Witnessing very profound changes in Rua Poiais de São Bento itself, for its contribution and initiative of the ‘Triângulo Aberto’.

Lisbon and all other cities, which suffer from gentrification, will have to wait for the research to end.
Until then, good job Franz!
