SYNOPSIS
The solo exhibition by João Freitas, 1997, UNTIL HEAVEN COMES, starts from the artist’s deepest desire to explore his art forever. Wrapped in layers of oil paint that are overlapped by brushstrokes or collages, the work of João Freitas doesn’t go unnoticed. Due to the sensibility used in the meeting of color tones, textures and shapes. Strong abstract images full of movement that easily make us wander through our minds.

In this exhibition, the artist dedicates himself to oil on paper, canvas and MDF. The only common element on the construction of his works is music. As important as any other physical material he presents in this exhibition. It is represented here in the form of the title of the pieces.
